Aluminum Fencing in Raleigh

Aluminum is the right choice when you need a fence line that looks polished and stays that way — without ever touching a paintbrush or worrying about rust. It’s the go-to material for pool enclosures across the Triangle, and it’s equally at home along a driveway entrance, a back-property line, or a commercial perimeter in Wake or Durham County.

What makes aluminum work in North Carolina specifically is the finish. Our summers run long, bright, and humid, and standard powder coat can chalk and fade after a few seasons of that exposure — the same combination of UV and moisture that grays untreated wood and yellows cheap vinyl. Our aluminum uses SolarShield powder coating, heat-bonded to the metal and formulated to resist the UV degradation and oxidation that strip color from cheaper materials. A SolarShield-finished fence looks the same in year ten as it did on install day, which is exactly why we back every aluminum installation with a lifetime transferable warranty.

Pool enclosures are where our aluminum installation experience runs deepest. Pool barrier code sets requirements for barrier height, picket spacing, and gate hardware, and getting any of them wrong can mean a failed inspection and a delay in opening the pool. Our hardware is pool-code compliant out of the box — self-closing, self-latching gates at every pool entry, code-conforming picket spacing, and the required height. We confirm the requirements that apply to your address and handle pool fence permitting where the jurisdiction requires it.

Beyond pools, aluminum comes in residential, commercial, and industrial gauges, so the same material that works around a Holly Springs backyard pool also works as a security perimeter for a business or school. All installations are gate-automation ready — if you want a keypad or remote-access operator now or later, we wire for it at install.

Style choices run from a clean 4-rail flat-top for a contemporary look to a classic 3-rail spear top for something more traditional. Both look at home in the established neighborhoods of North Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Cary, where ornamental aluminum has largely replaced wrought iron.

Aluminum Fencing Questions

Is aluminum a good fit for pool fencing in the Triangle?

It's the most popular material for in-ground pool enclosures here. We build pool enclosures to the barrier requirements in force for your address — self-closing, self-latching gate hardware, code picket spacing, and the required barrier height — and we handle the fence permit where the jurisdiction requires one.

Will aluminum rust or corrode in North Carolina's humidity?

Not with a proper powder coat. Our aluminum is finished with SolarShield powder coating, which bonds to the aluminum at high temperature and creates a barrier that resists both corrosion and UV-driven color fade. Aluminum also has no iron in it to rust in the first place, which is why it outperforms wrought iron in a humid climate and why we can back it with a lifetime transferable warranty.

Can I add an automatic gate to an aluminum fence?

Yes — all of our aluminum installations are gate-automation ready. We can integrate a keypad, card reader, or remote-access operator at install time or add it later. It's a common request on the longer driveways in Cary, Apex, and Wake Forest, and on rural-edge lots in Chatham and Franklin counties.

What's the difference between residential and commercial grade aluminum?

Wall thickness and rail weight. Residential grade is appropriate for most home installations — decorative borders, pool enclosures, side yards. Commercial and industrial grades use heavier-wall tubing and are what we specify for business perimeters, school properties, and anywhere with higher impact risk.

What does a lifetime transferable warranty mean in practice?

It means the warranty follows the home, not the original owner. If you sell in five years, the buyer inherits the coverage. That's meaningful for resale, and it reflects how we think about the quality of the install — we wouldn't offer it if we weren't confident the fence would outlast most of the people who buy it.
