Bullock Fence Installation

The first question people from Bullock usually ask is whether we come out that far. We do. This is the far northern end of Granville County, up US 15 toward the Virginia line, and it is part of our normal service area — no travel charge to come measure, no distance surcharge on the work.

What we build here is mostly agricultural. Bullock is farm country, and the fencing that matters is perimeter and pasture: woven wire for cattle and general containment, board fence along road frontage or wherever horses need to see the line, and cross-fencing to split a field so it can be grazed in rotation. Gates get more attention than people expect, because on a working property a gate is used every single day and it is the first thing to fail if it was hung on undersized posts.

Long runs are where installation quality shows. Corner and gate posts have to be set deep, in concrete, and braced properly, because those are the points carrying the tension for hundreds of feet in either direction. Northern Granville clay does not help — it holds water through a wet winter and heaves through a freeze, and that seasonal movement will find any post that was not set below it. Get the corners right and a wire fence holds its line for decades. Get them wrong and you are re-stretching it every few years.
